Right of withdrawal

Your 14-day period

As a consumer you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. For services the period starts the day after the contract is concluded — for us that is the moment you accept a quote, not the moment work begins.

If work starts during the period

If you want the professional to start within those 14 days, the law asks two separate confirmations from you when you accept the quote:

• an express request that the service starts during the withdrawal period;
• an acknowledgement that your right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully performed.

Without those confirmations, work starts only after the period ends. If you give them and withdraw before the job is fully performed, you pay only the part performed by then, in proportion to the agreed price.

How to withdraw

The quickest route is in your own file: open the request, go to "Right of withdrawal" and confirm. You first see what you get back and what you may owe for work already performed, and only then withdraw for good.

An unambiguous statement is enough: an email saying that you withdraw. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Send your message to legal@tamam.be.

What happens next

We confirm receipt of your withdrawal and refund what we received from you within 14 days, using the same means of payment. If work was already carried out at your express request, the part performed is settled. The contract for the work itself is concluded with the professional; we pass your withdrawal on to them as well.
