How we rank professionals

Why this page exists
When you submit a request, tamam.be decides which professionals see it and in what order. Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 requires us to publish the main parameters behind that order and their relative weight. What follows is what the system actually does — not what we plan to do, but the formula running today.
The criteria and their weight
Every professional is scored from 0 to 100 on each criterion. Those scores are added up with the weights below into one total, and the highest totals are invited first.
| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Trade | 25 % | Is your kind of work their main activity (100), a secondary activity (60), or do they not offer it (0)? |
| Distance | 20 % | Straight-line distance to your address. Within 5 km it counts in full; beyond that the score falls evenly to zero at the edge of their service area. |
| Reviews | 15 % | The average customer rating, corrected for how many there are: a single five-star review weighs less than a hundred reviews averaging 4.8. Anyone without reviews starts neutral and is not penalised. |
| Response speed | 10 % | How quickly they answer an invitation on average. Within two hours counts in full; after a day the contribution is limited. Anyone never yet invited starts neutral. |
| Reliability | 10 % | The share of accepted jobs they actually finish. This is separate from response speed: answering fast and then dropping out is not the same as answering slowly and always finishing. |
| Availability | 10 % | How many invitations are currently still open with this professional. Anyone already holding many live requests drops back temporarily, so you are not left waiting on someone who is full. |
| Aftersales | 5 % | Two things that happen after delivery: the share of appointments kept against those cancelled or missed (40%), and the share of service reports actually resolved against those still open or merely acknowledged (60%). The reports weigh more heavily: a cancelled appointment costs you an afternoon, an ignored complaint leaves you with broken work. Each half stays neutral below three observations, and a report you withdraw yourself counts nowhere. |
| Fair rotation | 5 % | How many requests this professional already received in the past thirty days. Anyone who received few recently comes up sooner. Without this criterion, whoever ranked first once would win every later request too. |
Can anyone pay for a higher position?
No. No payment, subscription or credit affects the order. Ranking uses only the eight criteria above: there is no paid placement and we do not sell priority.
If a professional does not respond
Rotation works in two ways. First, the ranking itself accounts for how many requests a professional recently received: whoever received few comes up sooner. Second, an invited professional has limited time to respond; if they do not, the invitation lapses and the next in the ranking moves up. Your request keeps moving and nobody holds a place indefinitely.
