A heat pump makes sense in a well-insulated home with underfloor heating or large radiators, and especially when an old gas boiler is due for replacement anyway. In a poorly insulated house the order is reversed.
What to check in the quote
Ask for the calculated heat demand, not a rule of thumb per square metre. Also ask what the subsidy in your region actually pays — it differs sharply between Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels.
